Elsabeth Foster

Elsabeth Foster brings to the firm a variety of experiences in health care, insurance law, and civil litigation. As an intern, during law school, Elsabeth researched and analyzed issues in business organizations, personal injury defense, family law, securities regulation, trademarks, and constitutional law. As an intern at the New Hampshire Insurance Department, Elsabeth researched state and national insurance law issues, administrative law, health law, and federal preemption of state insurance laws under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), developing a thorough understanding of the intricacies of insurance regulation at state and federal levels.

Elsabeth was admitted to practice in the state courts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts in 2006. Elsabeth is also admitted to the Federal District Court in New Hampshire.

Elsabeth graduated Magna Cum Laude from Franklin Pierce Law Center in May of 2006, where she served as a Teaching Assistant in Torts and in Trademarks. Elsabeth graduated from Duquesne University Summa Cum Laude in December of 2002 with a double-major in English (with a writing focus) and Latin.

Elsabeth's interest in insurance and health law began prior to law school when she collaborated with an orthopaedic surgeon and an attorney to found a Pennsylvania company designed to perform prompt, precise, and persuasive Independent Medical Examinations for insurance companies, attorneys, and governmental bodies. While her role in that company focused on systematizing medical records organization, writing, and marketing, the legal problems of financing health care delivery became all too familiar as she continued to operate this company while attending law school.

Now Attorney Foster is concentrating solely on legal representation. Elsabeth has represented many clients and represented them on issues beyond insurance regulation and ERISA. Elsabeth's practice areas include:

  • Insurance Defense
  • Civil Litigation and Appellate Practice
  • Health Law
  • Consumer Law
